In the window industry, this is known as a ‘cut out’ and involves cutting or removing the existing frame as well as any surrounding trim or bricks. To do this, we use specialist tools so that the cut out is precise and 100% compatible with the new door to be installed.

It's essential to perform a cut out correctly and safely or it can lead to structural issues, such as leaks or damage to the surrounding wall. After completing the cut out, we prepare the opening and make minor adjustments so that the framing and any additional insulation are secure before putting the new unit in place.

You will receive your FENSA certificate in the post direct from FENSA once the works have been completed. This can take between 1 to 3 months. It is important to keep this certificate as it will be required if you move house and FENSA charge for replacement certificates.
